Each year, Temiskaming Hospital develops Quality improvement Plan (QIP). This plan outlines the specific steps we are taking to improve patient care, safety and overall experience.
As we finalize our 2026-27 QIP, we want to hear from our community. Your feedback helps ensure our priorities reflect what matters most to patients and families. Please review our proposed plan and share your thoughts by March 4, 2026.
Our draft plan focuses on improving patient flow, access to care, safety and patient experience. Members of our Patient and Family Advisory Committee have also helped to shape this year’s priorities.
For 2026-27, our goals include:
· Reducing wait times and overall length of stay in the Emergency Department
· Reducing ambulance offload times in the Emergency Department
· Reducing wait time to see a physician in the Emergency Department
· Increasing the number of patients discharged before noon
· Enhancing culturally safe, patient–centered obstetrical care
· Reducing the number of patients who develop delirium during hospitalization
We welcome your input and thank you for helping us improve care at Temiskaming Hospital
